Couldn't resist posting this youtube file once Grant Stone had pointed it out to me.  This is the real accent from deepest darkest Tawa

Before I go.... the spammers have finally forced me to move my email address.  I know, I know- I made fun of them and now they are getting back at me.  When you download 60+ emails a day and only one of them is actually legit... then it is time to move on!

If you want to email then it will be pip (at) pjballantine (dot) net

If they figure this out I will just draw you all an picture of how to find me and the secret handshake needed... shessshhh.

Just wanted to give you guys the run down if you are attending DragonCon or if you will be near any of my book signings.

At DragonCon you will find the booth in the Exhibitor's Hall. A whole posse of fabulous DragonMoon Press authors will be there with copies of all the titles - including Chasing the Bard.

I will be on the Podcasting UN Panel at 1pm Saturday and of course there for the Parsecs.  If you want to keep up with the podcasting track this is the feed you need to subscribe to http://dragoncon.libsyn.com/rss

Then onto the east coast, and if your in the area these are the two book signings.

Richmond, Virginia

Also the magic of marketing Tee Morris has somehow managed a TV spot in the morning of the 7th on Virginia This Morning.  Boy am I glad I have done at least one other TV interview.

Hope the short story posts OK while I'm away, decided not to redo Thorns of Life afterall, but something else... enjoy the surprise!

Cheers

An oldy but a goodie.  This is Lake Dunstan in Otago, one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand.  This lake is man-made and right next to Cromwell.  This was a day to remember just for its magnificence

Feeling all nostalgic today- you guys will know why.  So here's a picture of me, child of the 70s, teenager of the 80s and nearly grown adult today.  This is a classic NZ photo of me (proudly wearing the top my Nana knitted for me and the skirt my Mum sewed for me) with my friend David.  Yes, even back then I had more friends that were boys.  My cat (which my grandfather gave to me and said was 'most definately male') and her kittens were incredibly important to me.  Funny thing was the summer's were always longer back then.  We spent lots of time at the local creek looking for creepy crawlies and following the stream for miles.  Ah, the gorse bush scratches and sunburn.  Good times!

If you have any classic kiwi childhood memories then email author (at) pjballantine (dot) net and I'll use them in a show.  After wallowing in my own memories for a while I will be back next week with a new audio episode.  Catch you then!
